While searching the information in the system, the context of the search should be accounted in preparing the search result set.
e-Zest divided the project in two logical phases – one that deals with the database cleansing and the another that deals with the search result. All possible input data sets were secured along with past searches to create the intent map.
The Microsoft technology stack was decided considering the future scope of the application.
The team designed various intent journey maps for the category of the searches and the search algorithm was tweaked to optimize the search result set. Various automated and user tests were conducted to perfect the algorithm.
The DB team went through all the operations that client team were doing in order to cleanse the database. It also studied all the data samples received from client to create a cleansing algorithm. It also worked on building data enrichment solution which will help the user to decide on which data should be added with good confidence index or truncated in order to keep outliers out from the system.
The client was very happy with the solution provided. Its end customers could make searches that would result in desired result which was a big thrust for the client in securing more such enterprise customers.
The data cleansing activity used to take over week which was later optimized to few hours. All this while improving the data quality.
After tweaking the search algorithm the end customers used to get required information in a precise format quickly which resulted in a huge productivity boost.
