SproutCore is an open source JavaScript framework. Its goal is to allow developers to create web applications with advanced capabilities. It provides many common application functions such as data management, server interaction, property bindings, event handling and views.
It also includes a set of build tools that will combine our source files to produce a bundle of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript optimized for deployment on the web. SproutCore is more than just some code; it’s an entire way of thinking about how we build an application. By following the methodology described by SproutCore, we can spend a lot less time just trying to make our app work and more time building excellent features.

At e-Zest, we use SproutCore on the “Spectrum” of JavaScript libraries and frameworks. We at e-Zest have dealt with applications, that provide localization in multiple languages, with the use of SproutCore we have directly inculcated the above built in features as well as included things like infinite scrolling lists.
The goal with which we create an app at e-Zest is that when we are building with SproutCore it should give native-like performance and native-like feel. We take full advantages of the multiple pieces and build tools that SproutCore consists of.
We use SproutCore to combine all our JavaScript apps and also for compressing the files into a single file while developing a system. The main objective of SproutCore which we use in e-Zest is proper caching so the app we develop here using the above framework can be installed only once and can live for a real long time. We also use localization in SproutCore at its best which is built directly in the framework.
